Logic. Astrologers do what we do by making and then reading a horoscope. The word horoscope is a combination of the Latin word Ora, meaning hour and the Greek word Scopos, meaning - to view. The word horoscope therefore means to view the hour. Astrologers often refer to your birth chart as your natal horoscope. Natal is another Latin word that means birth.  So, natal horoscope is just another way of saying to view the hour of birth. Now what exactly is a horoscope?
A horoscope is simply a map of the sky that is made for the time of birth. It is divided into twelve sections called houses. Each house of a horoscope deals with a specific area of life such as your money, your children, your career or your spouse. In the houses can be found the Sun, Moon and Planets. The Sun, Moon and Planets represent specific types of energy. Astrologers assign the unique energies of the planets to the areas of life associated with the house in which they are located.
For example, if Venus, the planet that is associated with socializing, relationships, love, beauty, the arts and money was located in your sixth house of work, work conditions, and co-workers, it would be natural for you to enjoy doing a good job. You would want to work (sixth house) in a pleasant, friendly and attractive (Venus) environment, be well compensated (Venus) for your work (sixth house) and would be well liked (Venus) by your fellow employees (sixth house). An important romantic relationship (Venus) could easily develop with a co-worker. (sixth house) A good job for you is either in the arts or in some form of cooperative interchange such as counseling. However, if Venus was located in your fourth house of home and family, you could easily have a gift for making your home beautiful. You would probably have some skills in interior decorating and the older you get the more beautiful (Venus) your home (fourth house) will become. You were probably born with a knack for creating a warm, friendly atmosphere (Venus) in your home (fourth house) and can make others feel like they are a part of your family. (fourth House) Some family members (fourth House) could even have some money. (Venus) They may also have more than a bit of artistic talent.  Another very simple example would be if Mars, the planet of bold and courageous action, was found in your second house of money and possessions. This would tell the astrologer that you are not afraid to take assertive and aggressive action (Mars) concerning your finances and possessions. (second house) You will work hard to get, and will fight to protect, your possessions and could easily earn money by doing things associated with the planet Mars. You will also probably spend your money in a bold and aggressive manner. An astrologer could humorously, but accurately, state that you were a person who was born with the courage to shop. They could also state that you may need to learn the lesson of  saving something for a rainny day.   While this is extremely simplistic and more than a bit silly, the point is that a planet must apply it's energy to the affairs associated with the house of your horoscope where it is located.
A horoscope will also show the twelve signs of the zodiac. The twelve signs are individual sections of the sky that form a circle around the horoscope.  In fact, the word zodiac means the circle of animals. The Sun, Moon and Planets must each express themselves according to the nature of the sign they are occupying. As the planets orbit the Sun they will travel through each of the twelve signs. As they do this they will then apply that energy to the areas of life associated with the house in which they are located.  So, the basic rule of "reading" a horoscope is that a planet must work in the manner of the sign where it is located and then it must apply that specific energy to the affairs associated with the house that it occupies. Once you understand that simple premise, learning to read a horoscope becomes easy and fun as you experiment with the different meanings of the planets, signs and houses.

career changes and falling in love. The more mundane circumstances of life such as health conditions, plumbing problems and speeding tickets are also readily apparent. Astrology can even be used to predict matters as worldly and diverse as political elections, the stock

and commodities markets and virtually every major sporting event you can imagine including the Kentucky Derby and footballs annual Super Bowl.  All of this can be seen in a horoscope by any competent astrologer with an interest in such matters.  By enrolling in our class, so could you.  I should think you would find that to be a rather exciting prospect. From a psycological point of view, astrology can also determine your basic personality, hopes, wishes, skills, talents and fears.  All this is and more is why I consider astrology to be the most intoxicatingly beautiful and alluring subject you will ever encounter. Now let's get back to what astrology actually is and how it works.
The word astrology comes to us from two Greek words, Astra meaning Star and Logos which means Logic or Reason.   Astrology is most easily defined as Star

The American Heritage Dictionary defines astrology as "The study of the positions and aspects of celestial bodies in the belief that they have an influence on the course of natural earthly occurrences and human affairs."  Ralph Waldo Emerson's defined astrology more simply as, "Astronomy brought to Earth and applied to the affairs of man."   What my chosen profession actually claims is that life on earth coincides with the movement of the planets in our solar system in precise and predictable ways. All life. Always. It appears to astrologers, and anyone else who will bother to take the time to look, that everything in the cosmos is intimately interconnected and that this universe is just as much a part of our being as we are a part of its existence. Completely interconnected with every facet of our cozy little corner of the cosmos, we are each aware of and respond to its natural rhythms. In fact,  we spend a surprising large amount of our precious time and energy reacting to those rhythms and the disruptions they create in our celestial environment. We react to all this just as we would to any other stimulus including light, heat, rain and love. In fact, if we were’t all so busy trying to synchronize our daily lives with the natural rhythms of the stars above, astrologers wouldn’t be able to make the kinds of profoundly precise predictions that we are noted for. But we can and we do, every single day. These incidents can range from marriage, birth and divorce to pay raises
